From the East Oregonian about the Helix Tourney

Tennis

HELIX - The Umatilla boys' tennis team rounded out the season with a strong win Saturday, winning the Helix Tournament with 26 wins.

Despite winning the team title, though, the Vikings did not have an individual or doubles team place first for the tournament. In the singles, it was Luca Barro of Riverside beating Curtis Watson 6-3, 6-1 to take first place and in doubles Sherman County's Stroud and Nibler won in three sets over Lima and Ramos of Ione 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

In the girls' tournament, Stanfield pulled off the win, narrowly beating Umatilla 29 to 25. That was due in large part to Erica Gehrke and Jessenia Carillo's first place finish in the doubles bracket. The Tiger duo knocked off teammates Lopez and Alvarez 8-1 for first place.

Irene Routson one the individual title by upsetting No. 1 seed Melanie Belshe 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.
