Riverside And Umatilla Play To 2-2 Tie

UMATILLA -
The Riverside Pirates and Umatilla Vikings met for a women's soccer match on Monday, September
27, 2010. It was a sunny afternoon with the temperature around 80 degrees. The teams battled to
a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation.

Umatilla scored the first goal on a shot high and to the right corner with about 30:30 to go
in the first half on the scoreboard clock.

Umatilla scored the second goal on a drive up the middle at about 22:26 to go in the first
half on the scoreboard clock.

Riverside scored their first goal on a shot fromt he left to right cross goal with 4:38 on
the closck left in the first half. When the whistle sounded ending the first half Umatilla
led 2-1.

The only score in the second half came very early at just about the 38:30 mark. Riverside
scored on a drive up the middle and a shot right past the Umatilla goalkeep. That tied the
score at 2-2. Both teams tried to work a goal but good defense and nice goalkeeping kept
either team from scoring.
