Vikings, Mustangs keep records intact

The East Oregonian

In Umatilla, German Campos had a couple of rushing touchdowns as the Vikings defeated the Pioneers 20-14 in nonconference action Friday.

The Vikings (4-0) lost their quarterback and leader Taylor Pankey to a sprain midway through the game and had to rely on sophomore Andres Sanguino to fill his shoes. Sanguino threw a scoring pass to Austin Bieren and led the offense to the eventual victory.

"Mac-Hi came to play and they were in it until the end," Vikings coach Kelly Allen said. "Our kids didn't quit."

Umatilla hosts Nyssa next.
